Part B · Teaching excellence
5 MODULESVoice, language, music and amplification, timing and cueing, feedback and positioning, and class management. The craft of teaching small children to dance.
Part C · Safety, safeguarding & inclusion
5 MODULESStudio environment, risk assessment and legal duties, safeguarding (with current 2026 legislation), inclusion fundamentals, and SEND in practice. The non-negotiables of teaching children safely and well.
Part D · The practice
3 MODULESThe complete 44-dance Mini Movers Dance library categorised across four movement types, class structure principles, and term planning with ready-to-use lesson plans and themed weeks.
Part E · The business
3 MODULESBusiness setup including BDSA membership, music licensing and venues. Pricing and marketing with UK 2026 benchmarks. Self-care to sustain a long career — vocal, physical and mental.
How you qualify
Three steps to certification.
Complete the 20 modules
Work through at your own pace. Knowledge checks at the end of each module help you consolidate as you go. Allow around 30 hours total.
Pass the final knowledge quiz
25 questions drawn from across the course. 80% to pass. 45-minute time limit. Unlimited retries — we want you to know the material, not catch you out.
Submit your practical teaching video
A 10–15 minute video of you teaching 2–3 dances, including at least one with props. Reviewed and feedback returned within 48 hours. Certificate issued on approval.
