Your certificate says you can really do what the course teaches, so the work you send us needs to be yours. This policy explains what "your own work" means, how you can use AI tools sensibly, and what you're agreeing to when you tick the declaration. We want you to feel confident, not caught out. Jackie and Jess

In short

  • Everything you upload must be your own work, in your own words.
  • Say where you used sources, other people's help or AI tools.
  • Films must show you as the teacher or dancer being assessed.
  • You tick a declaration on every upload.

Your own work

  • Write in your own words. If you use a book, website, video or another person's idea, say where it came from. A simple note is fine, for example "From One Dance UK, Healthier Dancer Programme".
  • Any film must show you, and only you, as the teacher or dancer being assessed.
  • If someone helped you, for example a friend checking your spelling or a colleague filming, tell us what they did.

Using AI tools

You can use AI tools, for example chatbots or writing assistants, to help you learn, plan or check your spelling. You must not hand in AI-written work as your own. If you used AI for a task, say so at the end of your upload:

  • which tool you used
  • what you asked it
  • what you changed or kept

Your assessor will ask you about your work in the professional discussion. If you can't explain it, it may not be accepted.

The declaration (ticked on every upload)

"I confirm this is my own work. I have said where I used sources, other people's help or AI tools. Everyone I filmed agreed to be filmed, and I hold written consent from a parent or carer and the young person for anyone under 18."

A false declaration is malpractice (see Malpractice).

Your films and your data

Your films go straight from your browser to Bunny Stream (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia), stored in Frankfurt, Germany, with a copy in London. They never pass through our website hosting, and they are never put on YouTube. Only your assessor and our quality assurers can open them, through private links that expire after 10 minutes. We keep your work and films until your certificate is issued, plus 12 months, for appeals and quality checks, and then delete them. If an appeal, malpractice case or quality check is still open, we keep them until it's closed. You can ask us to delete them sooner by emailing [email protected]. We keep a record of your results for 3 years, and assessment and quality assurance records for 7 years from your award. Films showing anyone under 18 are viewed only by your assessor and our quality assurers (including our external quality assurer), and are never used in marketing.
